as i am limited to only 32 gB of ram, when i need to run Vray GPu i easily run out of system memory, so i allocated min 16 and max 36GB of paging which will allow me to run teh render even if using some of the m.2 ssd paging. I do not use nvidia gming drivers but i have 2 3090FE which i droped on a very old xeon server board. UDPATE: Here's my video of it happening on my desktop - ĭISABLE PAGE FILE SYS on windows 10 and your gpu will go at idle clock when at idle. You're going to burn out our GPU's doing this and run up a needless power bill! Nvidia you need to update Broadcast not to have a vampire power draw and to throttle down the GPU clock when it is not active. I killed the NVidia Broadcast process and instantly the GPU Clock throttled down to 210 Mhz, Idle temperatures 45 degrees and 36 Watts idle. Meaning for the 3090 this is running my MSI RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio at 1785 Mhz clocks at 120W power draw and my GPU temp on "Idle" is 62. However using Nvidia's performance overlay I found that even when Nvidia Broadcast is not active, it is a silent background process that runs the GPU at about 2% BUT leaves your GPU running at full clock speeds. I work remotely and have been enjoying using Nvidia Broadcast for Webex as its algorithms for background removal and audio processing are better in my opinion than Xsplit which I used before. I usually keep my desktop on 24/7 for backups that mirror at night to the cloud. So I was noticing that my RTX 3090 "Idle" Temperatures were always at 60+ and drawing 120 W over the last few days with the fans spinning. This is the exception not the norm and only applies on very small number of cases. At the same time, we can also allow posts and comments that may break one or more rules outlined on this list.
